"I got into art at a very young age; other kids wanted barbies and toys, I wanted finger prints and disposable cameras. One of my favorite professors used to say, "anyone can learn how to draw, but some people are just born knowing they're an artist". I like to think I'm one of those people. I was in a bad place when I began to pursue art academically and it pulled me out of that place and took me to places I never thought possible. That's why I pursue art relentlessly; because it enhances my life and brings me success. I feel like it's my purpose in life. I chose painting because of the physical involvement in it; that's why I like traditional art. I have to construct my creations with my hands and I feel like it allows me to channel my energy into it. I also chose photography because to me pictures are just a collection of precious moments."
